I know, I know. It's been a while (again). Unfortunately, I was in the middle of switching out my old laptop for my new (refurbished) replacement from Dell. I had all of my art files saved to a disc but now I can't find it, of course. So I have none of my old programs to edit images with and I'm still pretty much getting used to this new laptop.
But enough of that. The above is a cover of a book I made over this week and the week before. It's a piano hinge and I took apart a copy of William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell and re-assembled it to fit in this book. I'm pleased with the cover, it's the first time I've tried a design of this nature and I deffinately want to try it again.
And for your link I give you another blog, that of The Clerkenwell Kid. Stephen Coates is a musician who created the soundtrack to one of my new favorite books: Glen Duncan's I, Lucifer. He's very talented and I've never heard music quite like his. Deffinately worth checking out because he has some great Podcasts to listen to.

And we're back! After a tense 5 minutes this image finally made it up. So I know it's been a while but with the begining of school, homework and laptop issues I haven't really had the time. But now I do and so here is some art. This is a piece I did over the summer, and it's supposed to be illustrating the fairytale 'The Three Apprentices', which I read in a copy of Grimm's Fairytales. In it, these three apprentices enter in a deal with the devil to help secure the soul of an evil man, in return they recieve all the money they would ever need. The interesting thing about this fairytale is that the apprentices don't join the damned, and the devil. keeps his word. In fact, everyone gets what they want. An interesting idea.
